Web Developer for Hire: Accessible Websites and Web Apps

Looking to make a website? If you run a business or a creative project and need a reliable online presence, you're in the right place. I'm Francisco Cavaco, a web developer and Computer Science Engineering student from Portugal, and I work with clients worldwide.

I build accessible, dependable websites and custom web applications. I genuinely enjoy making websites, and my favourite moment is when something I built simply works for the person using it. Whether you're starting from scratch or improving a site you already have, I work closely with you so the result fits what you actually need.

Services I offer

Every project is different, so I adapt to your goals. My main services are:

• Landing pages and business websites: fast, clear sites that explain what you do and make it easy for customers to contact you.
• Web applications: custom tools with logins, dashboards and databases, built with Laravel, React and Tailwind.
• Redesigns: a fresh look, better performance and a review of the accessibility of a site you already have.

Want to see examples? You're looking at one: I designed and built this whole portfolio website, franciscowebdev.com, myself, including the blog you're reading now. You can also browse my projects, like the Blog Page or MAE, a website for a soap shop.

What makes my work different

Besides clean code and layouts that work on phones, tablets and desktops, I put a strong focus on web accessibility. Building with accessibility in mind means more people can use your site, however they browse the web. You can read more about my approach in my post on why web accessibility matters.

When we work together you also get:

• Solid foundations for search engines: clear page titles and descriptions, and fast loading times.
• Where it makes sense, an easy way to edit your own text and images without touching code.
• Support in English, Portuguese and Spanish.

Let's work together

Getting started is simple. You tell me what you need, I reply with a clear scope, timeline and price, and we take it step by step. Everything can be done remotely, wherever you are.
