Who is responsible

This website is run by Francisco Cavaco, a web developer based in Portugal. For anything about your data, write to franciscomfcavaco@gmail.com.

What data I collect

  • Contact form: the name, email address and project details you choose to send (type of project, description, look and feel, features, budget and deadline).
  • Server logs: like every website, the hosting provider records technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and running.
  • Nothing else: there are no user accounts, no analytics and no advertising trackers.

Why I use it

To read your message, reply to it and, if we go ahead, to discuss and deliver your project. The legal basis is your request and the steps before a possible agreement, and my legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.

Who receives it

Your message is emailed to me through the email service of my hosting provider, Hostinger. I do not sell or share your details, and this site loads no third-party scripts, fonts or trackers.

Blog posts may be drafted with the help of an AI service that only reads the public content of this website. Messages sent through the contact form are never given to it.

How long I keep it

I keep your message only as long as needed to reply and to handle any project that follows, and delete it when it is no longer needed.

Cookies

  • Language: if you use the language switcher, a small cookie (site_locale) remembers your choice for one year.
  • Security and session: only when you send the contact form, a temporary cookie lets the page show you the result of your message. It lasts at most two hours.
  • There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. These cookies only provide features you ask for, so the site does not show a cookie banner.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive a copy. Write to franciscomfcavaco@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD (www.cnpd.pt).
